On Monday 24 August, Team Pango had a paper plane competition. The Warehouse Gisborne donated paper and the store manager from the Warehouse Gisborne was the judge and had prizes for the best decorated plane in each class and the plane that covered the most distance in the flying competitions.
Well done to Brett for receiving the prize for the flying and Brayden for the best decorated plane.
It was a fun filled afternoon. Check out the photos below!

On Friday 21st, room 4 was lucky enough to have Isabella's Dad, Mr Channon visit and share his knowledge about bees. He even bought in a beehive and showed us the different parts of a beehive. We learnt that the queen bee lays roughly 1500 eggs a day, and when bees get angry they start buzzing loudly.
Do you have any knowledge about bees, if so comment below :)

Today we had Miss Hickling come into our class and hang out with us for the morning. She helped with writing and maths groups. She is currently studying primary teaching at Waikato University. The children enjoyed having an extra teacher in the classroom. Check out the photos below!

Today room 4 visited MindLab and learnt about electronics and coding. Everyone learnt how to make their own music on the website scratch (which is free to use on any computer connected to wifi) and how to programme robots and control them. It was a fun filled afternoon with lots of learning happening. Check out the photos and make sure to ask your child all about it :)
