Newsletter term 2 week 1

Dear parents/caregivers,
Welcome to term 2! I hope you have had an enjoyable holiday – I have heard many stories from the children and it sounds like they all had a blast!

Term 2 is going to be a jam packed 11 weeks of learning, in week 2 we are going to MindLab as a class which I am looking forward to! We also have Life Education visiting Awapuni 11 – 15 of May and our focus is self-esteem and social relationships. The children and I are excited for Harold!

As poppy day was held in the holidays, Awapuni is having its own poppy day this Friday 24th April to raise money for the RSA. It is a gold coin donation for a poppy.

With the colder weather bearing in, please make sure your child’s jumper is named, and that they were shoes and socks on the colder days. We do not wear hats in term 2 or term 3 so there is no need for them to be at school anymore.

Yours in learning,

Alanna Morrow-Rankin J

Happy 10th birthday Wi!

A big thank you to Wi's mum and dad for all the yummy food! Happy happy birthday Wi!

Students in room 4 having ago being the teacher

Today in Room 4 Theo and Wi taught the class and myself how to make snow flakes from paper, and Brett and Kapua taught us how to make crosses from paper. We all learnt something knew and had fun folding the paper and cutting up the paper how we wanted. Ka pai boys! :)
